Poson Full Moon Poya Day is a significant event in Sri Lanka, marking the arrival of Buddhism with the visit of Mahinda Thero. Schools often commemorate this day with various activities that reflect the cultural and religious heritage of the country. Bathi Gee, devotional songs that resonate with the teachings of Buddhism, are performed, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere. Dansala, offering free food, embody the spirit of generosity and community service. Dharma Deshanawa, or sermons, provide an opportunity for reflection and reaffirmation of Buddhist teachings, involving the entire school community in a shared experience of faith and tradition.
